2) Community Support
Kimberley is a community dedicated to tourism
and internationalization. Special workshops are
held throughout the year to train community members
in the basics of ESL instruction to further enhance
Kimberley's ability to host international students.
3) Clubs, Lessons
and Activities
Children have access to a wide variety of after
school clubs, lessons and activities in Kimberley.

skiing, music lessons, curling, ballet, cycling,

skating and much more.

4) Competitive Prices
Kimberley's cost-of-living is much lower than places
like Vancouver, Banff or Toronto. As a result students
can live and learn in Kimberley for less!
5) Friendly, Professional
Staff
The Go
English staff is part of a larger team that includes
the teachers and administrators at Kimberley's three
elementary schools. They all work together to make
sure each participating parent and child has the
best study abroad experience possible.
6) Official Program Certificates
All international children attending Kimberley's
public schools as part of the
Go
English program will be awarded Certificates of
Participation or Completion (depending on the length
of their package) from School District No. 6. Parents
studying in Alpine English School's General English
program qualify for Certificates of Achievement
or Certificates of Participation depending on their
progress.
7) Small Program Size
Go
English limits program participation to ensure a
true immersion experience for each international
child. No more than 21* international children can
participate at a time.
8) Mother Mentor Program
This is a very important aspect of the Go
English program. Local women volunteer as mentors
for international mothers to help them adapt to
and enjoy Canadian life.
9) Accommodation Assistance
Go
English assists all participants in finding and
moving in to local accommodations. From long-term
rentals in houses and apartments to shorter-term
stays in hotels and motels to homestays with local
families, Go
English will help each participating parent and
child find the place that suits them best.
10) Group Events and Activities
Go
English sponsors bi-weekly (every two weeks) events
and activities for program participants. Trips to
local hot springs, days at the beach, program bar-b-ques,
ski lessons, skating parties and visits to local
cultural and heritage sites are examples of the
activities and events included in all Go
English program packages.
